Alright Bristol, it’s time for round two. FRANKIE’S is back and this time it’s permanent. Following two smash-hit pop-ups in the venue in 2024, Kitchen by KASK is now the home of Bristol’s own brickie turned MasterChef Adam Ball and his Fried Chicken + Waffles.
And because it’s a full-time collab with us at KASK, there’s a huge focus on pouring drinks that bring out the best in the food: beer, natural wine and American whiskey.
Open Thursday to Saturday evenings, plus Saturday and Sunday Brunches where all the family are invited – just don’t blame us when the kids go nuts for the Coke Floats.
Frankie’s is all about family. Inspired by their honeymoon in New York and family trips to Miami, as Adam says, it’s “Fried Chicken & Waffles developed for my wife’s gluten intolerance, named after my crazy daughter and eaten by my greedy little son.”
The menu is created to cater for gluten intolerances but is loved by everyone. After smashing it on MasterChef, getting some serious props from the likes of Jay Rayner and John Torode, Adam popped up in various places around Bristol, including two weeks right here at Kitchen by KASK in 2024.
We got on so well during Frankie’s short-term stay that we decided to make it permanent, bringing a new restaurant to North Street and one that combines Adam’s delicious creation’s with our team’s food + drinks pairing skills.
All food at Frankie’s is Gluten-Free, not that you’d know it from the taste. Most of our drinks are also GF.
Fried Chicken & Waffles. Keep it classic with Maple Bacon, or dive into something new like Korean or Red Thai
Sides. Million-layer potatoes, crispy frickles, or Asian Cucumber Salad to keep things fresh.
Desserts. Light + fluffy Zeppole slathered in pistachio + raspberry or coffee, caramel + cream
Beer. Bristol-made or American-inspired.
Natural Wine. From KASK’s cellar, picked to pair with the waffles (expect a lot of Sparkling).
American Whiskey. Our love of American liquor finally has an outlet.
For The Kids. Their wide-eyes will come off their screens and on to our drink creations.
Although Kitchen by KASK is the new home of Frankie’s, Adam won’t be in the kitchen all the time. Why? Because with a young family running a hectic kitchen isn’t a good idea. So Frankie’s will run for two week each month and in the other two weeks Kitchen by KASK will be an event space for hire.
We’re currently taking bookings for Frankie’s for the dates shown here.
