We’re very excited that our friend Imke of Ubuntu Food will be taking over the kitchen for 5 evenings in March.
Imke has been a fixture on the Bristol food scene for years, and if you’ve not been to one of Ubuntu Food’s feasts over fire, you need to get that sorted this summer! But for now, here’s your chance to taste Imke’s oh so tasty Afrikaans-inspired food – and we can’t wait to open some of our fav South African wines to go alongside the feast.
It’s not just the food that makes Ubuntu Food special – it’s Imke’s ethos: fostering connections through fire, food & nature. Each of her feasts and suppers are fantastic experiences and you really feel her love for food coming out of the kitchen.
But enough from us – scroll on to read what Imke’s got planned for her pop-up at Kitchen by KASK this March.
Our first pop up kitchen of 2025 will take you back to where my love for cooking and exploring the flavours of Afrikaans food culture first started…
This menu is my love letter to Ubuntu Food’s central motif – the family dining table. A powerful place that laid the foundation of my relationship with food, taught me about community, and continues to hold space for those who wish to take a seat and feed their soul.
Join me as we push open the front door of my family home; you’ll be welcomed by a symphony of smells, flavours and food stories from my heart to yours.
