Where: Mittelburgenland, Austria

Grape: Blaufrankisch

This dry, fresh and fruity organic Austrian Rosé is one that lovers of Provence rosés will adore and has more to it than many of this style. Notes of lime and white apple accompany the expected red berries, and it's long and balanced finish is a sign of real quality - something we'd expect from the Queen of Austrian Rosé, Pia Strehn.

A little something we think you should know: Pia Strehn and her brothers Patrick and Andreas are the 4th generation to make wine in Mittelburgenland, Austria. Their great-grandfather Carl was a farmer and had a small winery making wine for himself + friends; after WW2, his son Joe took over the winery. He had the first tractor in the village and earned money by doing taxi rides with his tractor. With this money he bought more land and planted more vineyards. Pia has become known as the Queen of Austrian Rosé and it's easy to see why when you taste this.
