Where: Stellenbosch, South Africa
Grape: Chenin Blanc
This organic dry white wine from South Africa is our favourite Chenin Blanc of the year - and given how much we love Chenin, that's saying something. This is a serious wine in beautiful clothes - crunch pear, white peach and dried herbs, with after notes of river stone, wet hay and dried herbs.
A little something we think you should know: Former Delheim winemaker, Reg Holder, struck out on his own in 2017 and, in collaboration with viticulturist Etienne Terblanche, created Dorper. Calling Stellenbosch home they bring modern, sensitive winemaking with Burgundian notions of terroir to South Africa’s native varieties.
