This Bulgarian sparkling wine is a lively and dry Pet Nat with delicious notes of raspberries, strawberries and herbs. It's quality once again shows the value that can be had in Bulgarian wine.
A little something we think you should know: the Thracian Valley is one of the oldest winemaking regions in the world. Thracian wine is mentioned in the Iliad and the Odyssey, including a scene in which Odysseus kills the cyclops after getting it drunk on fine Thracian wine. Purported to be the birthplace Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, archaelogical evidence does suggest it was an important supplier of wine to the people of Troy. Because of this history of winemaking, production and consumption of wine is said to be inseparable from the Bulgarian character and historical national culture.
